What EXACTLY happens throughout the week?
Without too many spoilers, here are a few highlight sessions which will help you prep better for BHX™. We are going to keep some things a secret because it’s best experienced on-ground.
Day 1 is all about vulnerable story-telling.
We are 25 creators who have never met each other and it’s kind of important that we know the story behind each person. In the end, we are all rebels who at some point showed the finger to the society to write our own tales. How we exchange these stories though is something we would love for you to experience at the villa.
Days 2 & 3, we indulge in Work showcases & Challenge sharing. Probably the core of all sessions at BHX™.
Through the showcase, the others in the room get to identify exactly what your primary skill-set is and how they might want to leverage it through a conversation, brainstorming or collaboration with you. Similarly, you will also get to identify who in the mix would be able to contribute to your creative journey the most.
Building onto this, Challenge-sharing is where the magic happens. Each resident put up the top 2-3 challenges they are looking to solve for - either immediately or even in the next 3-6 months - and the rest of the creators in the room basically become your creative army to solve for it… while you take a backseat from the challenges yourself.
Days 3 & 4, by the midweek - you would have identified a good 8-10 creators who you know will add value to your creative journey. And it’s important to chalk out a conversation with each of them. One-on-one!
How these one-on-ones happen though is not through the corporate-style round-table setting. We aren’t big fans of transactional conversations. However, some of the best collaborations and brainstormings we’ve seen happen in the past are when creators do it with martinis in the pool, on a nature trail together, exploring local cafes & meeting local artists/entrepreneurs together. Because that’s when you don’t cap off a conversation, but lead yourself to an action step.
PS: We’ve served our times in our own prisons through the pandemic. Exactly why it would be a crime to be tied to a single villa when we travel to such beautiful destinations. When explorations meet conversations, the unexpected happens. Always. And we love witnessing exactly that.
On the penultimate day, we also dive into a rapid-fire 90-min brainstorm called Hack Sharing.
Hacks are basically short-cut tools and methods to help make work easier, faster and more efficient. The magic about this session is - while you share only about 5-10 hacks from your own industry, you actually go back with close to 100+ hacks because each creator in the room will be sharing 5-10 hacks from their own fields.
Now, irrespective of where you find a hiccup - be it scaling, marketing, hiring or even a creative block - you know exactly which hack to use where.
On the final day, we also have a midnight session. What happens during this session though, is something we’d love for you to experience when amidst us. It’s like marshmallows being barbequed with the fire in your heart.
